At The Haywood Initiative, Inc., our focus is to ensure that the children, adults, and families that we serve each have the access to achieving a quality of life in which they can excel. Our goal is to bridge the gap of race and advancement to increase the representation in the working industry by offering the following services for each age group:
A. Youth (13-19 yrs old)
- Education - tutoring, workshops, seminars (motivational speaking engagements)
- Life Skills - Career exploratory, health management, money management (Beginners)
- Mentorship -Active Companion, Life Coach.
B. Young Leaders ( 20 - 35 yrs old)
- Mentorship - Role model, sounding board/confidant, connectivity/resource
- Career Development - KenMark University, Resume Writing, Employment Etiquette, Career - --creativity and Exposure
- Financial Management - Budgeting, Credit Education, Taxation, Real Estate, Investing , 401(k)
- Entrepreneurship - Finding your Niche, Business Plan Development, Legalities, Trial & Error, Support Group ( safe space)
C. Adults (36 - Above)
- Acts of Giving (Becoming A Mentor / Coach) - Self-fulfillment, accomplishments, pay debt to society
- Technology Advancement - Computer Literacy (windows products, Apple, Typing Courses, - Software Comprehension, etc.)
- Resource Hub - Rental Assistance, Transportation services, AARP, Food pantry, Counseling, etc.
